Surrounding Areas

Our 43-acre Southington campus is nestled at the base of Mount Southington and is just minutes away from Queen Street with it's bustling shops, dining, and entertainment. The setting, while minutes away from the town and major thoroughfares, projects a picturesque and spacious quality. Nearby is Lake Compounce Amusement Park, America's First Family Theme Park. The renovated park blends Southington's natural beauty and rich heritage with traditional and contemporary rides, live shows and attractions. Lake Compounce has also hosted the regional finals of ESPN Sports X-Games. Mount Southington Ski Area is located at the southern end of the western ridge offering gentle novice runs off the summit to steep, narrow cruisers through the forest. Special Mountain features include a Terrain Park for the high flyers. Bristol is home of ESPN headquarters, the world leader in sports broadcasting.

Lincoln College of New England's Suffield Campus offers Sunrise Park and other nearby state parks which are ideal for swimming, boating, bicycling, hiking, and camping during the summer and fall. Winter sports nearby include skating, hockey, sledding, and skiing, both cross country and downhill.  Six Flags New England is a quarter mile up the road.  Students visit often and some work at the park.
